Considering a “staycation” this year? Don’t let gas prices put a crimp in your family travel creativity. Go retro! Consider an overnight road trip to some of the kitchy, goofy, even downright weird destinations like the Snake Farm, within a one tank range of your house.

    great ideas. We were going to Bar Harbor, but 600 for airfare shocked us. Little Rock 800.00 So we are taking your advice and going to Georgia’s Okefenokee swamp. $200.00 and a tank of gas in a hybrid! hey Gators and hanging moss will be just as good.

    Awesome!! That is one of my favorite places to visit and I have been there many times. My son loves it. Dirty Jobs did an episode there also. =) My son was excited to watch it on TV.
